Lisa & Wendy SUCK w/o Prince I really liked Wendy & Lisa when they were part of the Revolution and with Prince...I thought they were the bomb! But I just downloaded a couple of their songs and they were terrible...I mean really bad!
Maybe I didn't hear enough. Did Prince write their songs or did they? In Purple Rain the mvie they came up with that great music (the song Purple Rain)...I thought they could really do that. Oh well, comments??? Peace the VILLE I Just Heard the "Question of U" for the 1st time...MY GOD that is an awsome song. That is #1 right now. I gotta go & listen 2 it again! WoW!

I'm curious which songs as well. The first 3 CDs are very nice, and also flavored with their time with P.. Girl Bros is very different, from what I understand.
And, too, folks grow....hell even Prince ain't runnin around in a thong no mo. Grace, ~Adore Slaying my Dragons by trying to Love them~

You could say Prince sucks without Wendy and Lisa. It's all about personal preference. I personally think Eroica is their best album and I totally love it. And the songs they did with Neil Finn are kinda great too.
Dont download a few tracks and then whine. Download "Fruit at the Bottom", or go buy "Eroica" Fandango out.

Songs like the title track, "Lolly Lolly," "Are You my Baby" and "Satisfaction" are taken from the Prince School of Funk...My favorite album is definately "Eroica." This was pre-Lilith Fair and man had this record been marketed right they definately would be up there with your Natalie Merchants and Liz Phair's of the world. Some highlights include: "Mother of Pearl" with KD Lang, "Why Wait For Heaven?" and my all time fav "Valley Vista," it reminds me of my suburban youth...The track "Skeleton Key," is damn funky and features Eric Leeds on horn...Their most recent record "Girl Bros." was created as a tribute to Wendy's brother Jonathon. He died of a heroine overdose while on the road as a session keyboard player with The Smashing Pumpkins. The songs are raw and honest and basically incredible in my opinion. They even do a cover of...lol...Pinnochio's "I Have No Strings." "...literal people are scary, man literal people scare me out there trying to rid the world of its poetry while getting it wrong fundamentally down at the church of "look, it says right here, see!" - ani difranco

All Nite Lolly Lolly This is the Life Don't Look Down What do ya think of these songs? Peace the vILLE I Just Heard the "Question of U" for the 1st time...MY GOD that is an awsome song. That is #1 right now. I gotta go & listen 2 it again! WoW!

Try "Satisfaction", "Fruit At The Bottom" and my favourite W&L track "Waterfall".
Even better, try Sheila E's "A Love Bizarre". Or for real class, Mavis Staples' "Time Waits For No One" Prince recorded with / influenced some cool records back in the day and these are definitely worth searching out.... Good luck! hmm. gotta go w/ eroica for wendy & lisa material. correct me if i'm wrong but they had a hand in atwiad and parade [which are two of my all-time fave prince jammies].
as stated earlier, i don't think it would be fair to expect them to tread the same paths as those travelled during their revolution days. from what i understand, they've done a grip of scoring recently, too. .::'xpert lover, my baby. ever had a crystal ball?' - crystal ball::.
