Anyway, maybe the freak is feeling a little daring again. I agree!!! It worked in 84/85 but to me it started looking a bit odd after 95.. sorta like the mixture of a Persian woman and a Monk. The thing he had on last night was way better than the get up from 1984/85. At least you could tell it was a hooded shirt. That sparkly purple scarf from the grammys in the 80's looked like someone had thrown a bedspread over his head. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

when we all know for years prince has always dressed differently. his style is what brought some ppl to like him, his music and the diversity in it, is what we like, because it never sounded like anyone else's and of course thats what he's all about from clothes to performance and sound! prince looks unlike anyone sounds unlike anyone and just is unlike anyone. comments about him being an old black man trying to look young is just ignorant! prince is a man first and his color shouldn't even matter and we know how good black ppl age any damn way! prince isn't old, he's matured alot with age, but he still looks the same, doesn't have to try hard, everything this man does is effortless and he's great all around baby! prince isn't running around with lil jon or nelly! he's doing what he's always done, been in a league of his own. he talks a bit more...he's media friendly these days, but he's also independent as an artist, he has to build up his rep as a more accessible artist now, because he doesn't have a contract, so if he wants tp make more money and somewhat change his perception from ppl who just didn't get him, just listen to the man now in 2005! he actually makes sense...and i think its great he's making these appearances...no one laughed or booed, they started screaming when they heard music legend, and they jumped to their feet when his name was immediately announced! prince is all that, and i thought, he looked great! I don't know how many of you have had the pleasure of sitting up front during one of his concerts, I have, and the material that his clothes are made of is to die for...

Thanks for the link, I saw it in slow motion as he hands Rene his hand. If I were Rene I would have planted a big kiss on him, like that guy who planted a big wet one on Halle Berry a few years back, but's that's just me

I would like to ad one thing on this topic: When Prince Rogers Nelson walked up to the mic to speak, it was ok for people to scream and be happy for him; however, it was rude when he started to talk. When a person is presenting an award and it is a moment when "respect is due" people should heed the words of the speaker (aka this moment) Prince Rogers Nelson. I heard him say "Women are" then screaming... I would have liked to have heard what he said re: what women are. So with this being said, maybe people will learn respect and "listen" to what the person is saying instead of screaming to be heard themselves at an opportunity when the SPEAKER is trying to present an IMPORTANT MESSAGE to everyone (in this case globally.) Thank you. SingMia Thank u sweet SING MIA 4 explainng this so I can better understand... Yes, the outfit DID depict a cloth one would wear in THE NEW WORLD... Never thought of that, as I think God might just want us nakidd, since we'll all B PERFECT. May the BELLS ring 4 U even when ur not in love.

I am rather surprised that no one has bothered to comment on the fact that P's audience reception as presenter dwarfed that of the award winner! I don't no if anyone received a bigger show of admiration and respect. It was raucous. What does that say about a supposedly [i]over the hill former rock star of significance, now in his mid forties[i]? Let's see Usher pull that off in twenty years. Equally entertaining was actually watching Rene's demeanor and body language when she was on stage with him. She was absolutely fit to be tied
