Partyman: the video! One of his best. Plus it is funny too.
U even get to c the band (a hybrid of revolution and NPG) in costume, and candy dulfer! This was a worthy follow up to the equally cooky "batdance" video. Great big lavish colours and budget. Whole gang r having so much fun it seems..... Jill Jones looking all fine....good t c her in the video (as opposed to say Ingrid Chavez or someone?) Odd that the music video is infact the extended 12" version of the song. Which means u get a bizarre 7 or 8 minute video. With such great moments as when Jill says to prince "nobody can beat batman" and the bit where Prince set this girls hair on fire. "look what u done to my hair" and Prince just laughs.....very strange..... "it ain't over yet"!  | |

i cant remember Jill Jones in either of them though  Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

she actually calls him a "bastard" but it was edited out. You can hear the unedited version on the 12inch Partyman. I think she calls him a bastard and they blank it out. U can still catch the ending hence why it sounds like turd. |

This video was great but I sensed a hint of misogeny in Prince. I just got a werid feeling that deep down he resented women's power in that video. But I am probably over analyzing again. Ignore me! | |
