No, it's not overrated... it's one of the most hated Prince releases. It shouldn't be put in the same category as "NPS".

Just gave the album another spin and I do like one part of "Melody Cool".

The "Talking about saving souls" part is awesome. Maybe I'll warm up to her, it's just taking awhile.

It's not underrated it's just not very good, it has a couple of moments but underrated no. Now Come that's an underrated Prince album.

Yeah, I do think GB is underrated, it's a great album.

If only he had gotten rid of some of those "filler" songs.

Hell I Can't Stop This Feeling I Got isn't even in the movie.

The only problem I had with GB was that it came with NO Lyric Sheet, just like the UTCM album....Gotta have those lyrics so I don't sound like an idiot making up my own stuff! (Lord knows I've made that mistake before!)

I had a friend back in the day that SWORE that the opening lyrical line to Let's Go Crazy went something like, "Bitch don't lie, Once I let it in"....THANK GOD the Purple Rain album came with the lyrics and I could school this poor soul before he made an ass of himself.

I dug most of GB when it came out. However, it is one of my least favorites.
