Musicology 2x Platinum yet?

To anyone who follows the charts or has access to the charts that we can't see: Has Musicology come close to approaching the 2 million mark yet? Has it gone over? That would be a good thing to celebrate.

I'm quite sure it is over 2x platinum in the U.S. counting all the copies distributed at the shows...1.43 million ppl went to the concerts (per NPGMC), plus all the copies actually sold in retail stores (192,000 copies the first week alone, as I recall).

According to the Billboard a few weeks ago, it was certified 2x platinum.

could you send the link, i don't think it's been reported on housequake or the org, and it doesn't say on billboard and according to the RIAA database musicology is just a single platinum

i imagine enough copies have been shipped for it to be double platinum, easily. technically about 2.2 million will have been shipped because of the 450k that were given before the concert deal kicked in. but i imagine they're waiting for the right moment, like when he wins a couple of grammies, the album re-charts and they can use it for more promotion.

The album is no longer in the Top 100, so you cant see it on the Bilboard site unless you register and see the complete chart.

I can't find a link, but I remember seeing an arrow like this with number 2 next to it, indicating it was certified 2 million were shipped.

What I'd like to know is, out of all the people who own the album, how many actually like it?

I have a vision of Musicology drink coasters all around the world.

No, RIAA is slow as hell at updating stuff.

For exampled, according to the Billboard charts, Usher's Confessions album is at 8x platinum, but according to the RIAA site, its at 4x platinum. Lloyd Banks & Young Buck's albums are both platinum individually, but neither one of them are even listen on the RIAA site. And it aint just the recent albums, its that way for a lot of albums that have been out for while also like Musicolgy.

RIAA is always late at reporting stuff. I always count on Billboard charts.

I think having a TRC coaster is an insult to coasters around the world.

Well then we'll both be satisfied when we get the millions of responses. Let's get a poll taken. I bet I win.

I just can't stop writing songs about U
I love U so much
I just can't wait 2 get my arms around U
And feel your touch
If I don't see U real soon, baby girl
I might go insane
I know it's only been 3 hours
But I love it when U call my name

I would like 2 know the same thing! I love Musicology and if I can remember correctly, NEWS was nominated 4 a Grammy when it first came out. R some people hatin on this CD because it's geared towards more R&B then R&R or do u flat out think it's really that freakin bad? eek The lyrics on Musicology are brilliant and well thought out on most of the songs IMHO lol

Well I like it, but then I said that when it first got it. As a matter of fact everyone I know that has it (and I am talking about more than a few that fell off the purple band wagon years ago) really really likes it. You of course hate it but I think it is really a good pop/r&b record and should be listened to from that perspective.

Peace
