Found a short amateur video file of this where Prince
is asked the following question (it's quite funny)
(tried writing it word for word , but sometimes i couldn't
tell what was said so it's not exactly accurate)


I - Hypothetically who would win a fistfight you or Michael Jackson ?

When Prince says this, he is laughing to begin with, but it seems apparent to me that he realises, by referring to Jackson, he wants to ensure his words are not twisted. He seems to recognise this just after he says the words: "Michael's not a fighter he's a lover", which is clearly open to misinterpretative reporting in the light of allegations against Jackson.

At that point, I think he wants people to know that he believes everyone should hold back from passing judgement on Jackson. As Prince is prone to do, he expresses it in a half-cryptic way which doesn't necessarily help him get his point across seriously at times.

That was where the guy from Howard Stern was asking him questions and Prince seemed amused. Howard played this on the air and at the time was ripping Prince, saying he was "washed up" and nobody cared about his press conference.

That was the second question the Stern reporter asked. The first one was what do you think of mj naming his kid after you? Prince laughed and said that an mj question was a flashback to the time when people use to link them together.

Unfortunately some people (like stern) think two black male artists who don't fit narrow stereotypes of black male behavior are somehow the same.

Prince's lover comment in no way hinted at mj being a.....it was 99 and that wasn't in people minds or at least not in the front of them.

going back home means going to god, i think.

Mike makes the comment about being "a lover, not a fighter" in the song "The Girl is Mine" with Paul McCartney. Prince was probably just making reference to that.

Stern is only digging prince because he made a so called comeback.He was dissing him only a few years ago. He's funny, but he's not a die hard music fan like gary or even fred.
