Joni Mitchell Remembering a 15 year old Prince

Not sure if this has been posted before, if so please excuse. Anyway, the following excerpt is from a Feb. 1995 Joni Mitchell Interview on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno. I ran across this a while back, thought it was interesting. http://www.jonimitchell.com/Leno95.html

Joni's Leno appearance--her first on American television in nearly 25 years--sums up the come-back vibes surrounding the release of "Turbulent Indigo," which later won a Grammy. Leno describes Joni's presence as "an honor" and pronounces himself "a big fan." Only a few years before, this would have seemed hopelessly uncool and therefore impossible to say. Joni herself looks great in a long, slinky, black crushed-velvet dress, silver belt, boots, silver earrings and bright lipstick--recapturing some of her "Court and Spark" glamor. Her guitar is out of tune, but her swaying performance of "Sex Kills" is spirited. The living-room-like set for this one-song concert is curiously elaborate, indicating special effort and expense--Persian carpet, potted palms, and several large "Impressionist" paintings in gilt frames similar to those on the "Turbulent Indigo" package. I wonder if they're Joni's own. Later, she has a nice chat with a beaming Leno, who plugs her new album at length. Then he graciously mentions that Prince is a fan, and she gets to tell this story: "When he was, I think, 15 ... I played Minneapolis, and I remember him because he has those distinctive eyes. They're like a puffin or like Egyptian wall paintings. And he sat to the left of me in the front row, with his head cocked at me like a puffin bird, and I played a lot of my set to him. He was a very young, impressionable musician, and I guess that night meant something to him."

Why didnt he ever do the Egyptian look,Besides the fact that it was commercialized by the Bangles, or whatever the hell group did that cheesy song... shrug

Also, do you think that ugly people are God's cruel joke on humanity (like the platypus and the heterosexual) or another form of population control?
