I'd love to see 1985's Grammy's again. As far as 2004's, I saw it and I wish I had missed it.

The Grammy's were awesome last year, and he had the year he did because of them. It was a lot fun, I'm not exactly sure how you couldn't like the perfomance hmmm
Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

Was kind of the theme of the WHOLE evening though, not just his performance. lol Was worth seeing though, the night that the world was reminded that Prince still is around.

I know it was the theme of the whole evening but Prince has always rebelled against themes. Remember "We Are The World" in 1985 and the anniversary in the 1990s when he refused to sing.

If he was going to perform with someone else, it should have either been George Clinton or Earth, Wind, & Fire...people that are worthy of performing with him.

Well rebelling against the theme that night would have had him NOT playing. Plus the theme was old school meets new school, and I shutter more at him being teamed up with Britney or worse. Putting him with Alicia would have been a better move, but either way he kicked ass.

Well, I'd rather see him not perform rather than see him lower himself.

Either on MTV or VH1.com, I think they have a clip . . .

speaking of which, did you think Beyonce was able to live up the expectation of performing Purple Rain with Prince? I felt like she was trying too hard or something.

Good thing you're calling the shots then lol We would have had a pretty uneventful year last year.
