according to billboard it moved around 3.1million worldwide, which means around 3.5 million hav been shipped, if he continues the musicology tour worldwide those figures could top 5million possibly more.

No way that number is accurate. It only moved (1.7 or so) million here in America and a million of those were free. THere is no way that he SOLD 1.5 million copies to the rest of the world. I need to see this billboard link.

yup, im sorry its accurate, go check it out on their website or something, its the 24th biggest selling album of 2004, selling almost 3.1million worldwide and only one place behind Britney's Greatest Hits, now that is an achievement! Usher has sold 12million, and on a more comparative note, George Michael sold 2.75 million.

Well it sold 500,000 in this country without the giveaways. Not bad for a cd that did not receive a lot of radio airplay. Let's assume that it sold another
500,000 from around.

It has actually sold just shy of 2million in the U.S! If it sold 100,000 copies in each European country that would be 3million easy so the figure isnt exactly out of reach and that isnt including Canada, South America, Australia, Asia!

well if he made close to 90 million with his tour, why should he care
how well the album sold. the money isn't in the discs anyway.

all he needs is a good tour and he always has top tours so it doesn't
matter how many units his albums shift.

TRC sold like, what 30,000 worldwide or something? lol but still
he manages to be top grosser with his tour 3 years later.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

You realize that Prince doesn't see that $90,000,000 right? Obviously the promoter takes a huge chunk. Prince had indicated ealier that he was making around $500,000 a show which isn't too shabby.

There were 96shows

the minimum is 500k plus is he sells out i bet he gets more

at the very minimum 48million

and the cd had real retail sales int he us of atleast 800k copies at the very least

i know billboard didnt count 400k give aways because they were given away b4 the release

so just over a million concert cds counted

todate it sold just under 2million

so he must have sold about 900k in retial in us
