When YOU were mine holy shit i was listening to this tonight and i just realised that this must be the most perfect POP song Prince has ever created.
Honestly i would give this song to any non P fan and let them tell me its crap,,....it wouldnt happen props to this little gem its times like this im sooooo glad im a fan.

This is the song I listened to in junior high that made me a true fan...I got Dirty Mind in a trade with a friend for a candy bar. I think I got the better deal. That keyboard solo/ scream thing in the middle of the song gets me everytime. | |

a few years ago i was watchin my copy of the ritz '81 show, and ol' boy went into this song...a friend of mine, who wasn't much into prince, was watchin it with me. by the end of the song she was totally smitten with the track and like, "omg, this song's great! how can i get it?" i ended up dubbin her a copy of the song on tape.

moderatoroh yeah, i used 2 dislike tis song..but after i kept listening 2 it it grew on me.. yaeh, but i like Uptown better..ooh i love dat jam!
