I don't want it to sound like this, or sound like that - I just want it to freak me out!

I don't want it to sound like this, or sound like that - I just want it to freak me out! After five times listening, you get a few songs, but after 80 times you realise what the best songs are.

I just want to feel the same what I felt when I first heard "Parade", "Around The World In A Day", "1999", "Dirty Mind", "Sign O' The Times"...
I just want him to make music with so much obsession like he used to... in those times... I mean nowadays I feel that he only makes music cuz he can do that...like an old job... [Edited 1/5/05 5:36am]

I would love to hear Da Bang WITHOUT the heavy guitar break! The jazz in that song is killer!
Add this to the "what pisses me off about Prince", too. LOL

I honestly have grown to like all of his albums. There's something in every one.
But I would prefer Musicology to NEWS, Rainbow Children to Musicology, Symbol to Rainbow Children. I won't go any farther, cuz we know he ain't doing 1999 again! I have liked his weird albums the best, though. I liked the more live & experemental sound of Rainbow Children, but I also liked Prince being popular in 2004. Check this song out at:

He should listen to TTD's and Lenny's latest releases, and top them. "stripped down" is the key....just lots and lots of hooks, real songs, melodies...but as few intruments and overdubs as possible.....

A hard rock album. Not in the vein of Chaos and Disorder...but a whole album of Habibi sounding songs. Habibi being that hard rock instrumental jam he put out.

Lenny's latest??? Baptism, cmon it is the WORST release of his short career. Wouldnt take much to top that project. VERY disappointing output from the usually solid Mr. Kravitz. "If you wanna feel the FUNK....then you have to know the SOUL!!!"-----(Up and Down...just like a seesaw, Back and Forth...oh girl I'm fallin)

In the next Prince album, I need imagination. I want him to take me somewhere that I havent been b4. With Musicology, I felt as though I was being fed leftovers. I want slick ambiance. I want ultra-lush ballads. I want kick ass rock and roll! I want the speakerbox on my system to cum when I play this Prince cd. The production should be impeccable and I dont want to hear ANYTHING that Ive heard b4.

Id like to either see a sequel(if u could call if that)to the Rainbow Children with an epic song like Last December or gold but better(if that is possible).or failing that a cover album that is totally different from the usual 40/50 somethings who make them at that stage in there careers. With loads of strange covers.Of hand i'd say outcasts "hey ya"from last year or something from the 80's when prince made it big.All original cover ideas are welcome.

I'd like to see many things:
I'd like to see a new concept album, maybe picking up where TRC left off. I'd like to hear a lot more electric guitar, like he did on Lovesexy. I'd like to hear less ghetto lyrics. That was good on Musicology, but enough. I'd like to hear less jazz influence, unless it's like All the Critics... I'd like to hear something that would outsell Purple Rain, and really keep Prince on his throne! I'd like to hear a coupla harmless curse words. Like on Strange Relationship, when he didn't change the word hell in the first verse. Do that again. And so on, and so on...

I want Prince to play around the studio and jam with some people, preferably studio rats like Bjork.
Has been a dream of me for ages, just to see what kind of beats they would come up with together. I can just see them sitting in the studio together, Bjork really proud of the sample of that dripping tap she made and Prince going "Girl, you can do much better than that!" I want Prince to listen to Susan Rogers and just whip out that toothbrush and bring him back to basics. And JAM on a song, spin it out, stretch it out. I have been longing for that song that you just want to play again and again, like the intro to Something In The Water. I want Prince to freeform in the studio. Not drown in long solo's, but CRAFT a song again, wrenched from the weirdest places. I want Prince to use his fantasy, not get political. Not get overly religious. I want Prince to find a new way to look at things. I always said that Paisley Park might be an awfully nice playground, but it kinda dumbs him down. The most innovative work is made in strange places. I say throw the man in a warehouse. I say, I say, I say. Hey! A little door!
