The Truth CD

It took a while for this cd to grow on me but now I really dig it. I know around 1989 and 1990 when Linda Everett worked at Paisley Park w/ Eileen Murton, she stated that Prince already had a blues album completed. Anyone have any ideas about this?

when was this album recorded though? Or is it just a collection over the years. I can c "comeback" may be about his baby? I ain't sure as I have my own personal feelings about the song.

I can never hear the whole album through though.

fav tracks include "comeback" and the haunting "welcome to the dawn"....the "tears go here" bit on "comeback" freaks me out.

If I recall correct, it was recorded between the last few months of 1996
and the spring of 1997.

It's by far my fav Prince album of the 1990's. There isn't a single song
on there that I skip.

Still find it amazing how many people don't like this album. It's almost
as if some people aren't able to enjoy good music unless there's a big
thumping beat under any and every song.

As far as I'm concerned this album seriously rocks.

I don't like the song but it always makes me laugh. In one bit, he sings about how no member of the animal kingdom ever did him any harm, and that's one of the reasons that he doesn't eat them.

It always makes me wonder, if he was swimming in the sea and got attacked by an ill tempered cod, would he then be OK to eat fish and chips?
RIP sad

What ever happened to Linda Everett? I used to buy stuff from her. We chatted on the phone a few times too... I still have the little photocopied catalog she would send out. I was like 10 years old, haha. I bought my first bootleg tape from her...

I really love this album. Man In A Uniform is not my favorite. I do love Animal Kingdom though. I think he wrote this song because if he came back as a dolphin....

CO-FUCKING-SIGN!

Without argument, the WORST song recorded by ANYONE...let alone Prince's worst recording. I enjoy Brittney songs more than this...fuck brittany, I like Lindsy Lohan songs better than this! Please note that I own neither of these albums.

"Im A Slave" - Britney sounds like "Nasty Girl".

yeah, because good music can only be what you deem good thus your confusion, as if people don't like this crap cd because it lacks big thumping beats. news flash, animal kingdom and man in a uniform would suck balls whether they were accoustic or not.

I hate it when people try to politely insult other opinions. just come out and say you think everyone who dislikes the truth is an idiot and doesn't understand good music, unlike you of course, the final verdict on all that is good, because that is obvious what you are saying.
this message brought to you by logic.

I wasn't saying you're an idiot. However, after this rant, I think you are.

However, since you were probably alone and miserable over the holidays and

had nothing better to do than sit at your computer and take all of the net

personal, I shall not hold it against you.

However, since I read your post I've contemplated it long and hard and I've

come to conclude that I do feel offended, if not by your message at least

by the petty asumptions you make after skimming my response.

Therefore I can only conclude that you fit your username well and are indeed

a dumb ass.
