On the 2nd disc is Prince on it at all? Is his featured at all in the making or behind the sceens or is it just a bunch of people talking? How is the lighting on the new disc.....I know before when Prince and his parents are in the basement it's pretty dark. PEACE

The second disc is mainly interviews with people Prince had worked with on the movie and with his ex bandmates. Prince himself is not interviewed.

To me, the movie "Purple Rain" on the first disc pretty much looks the same except it has a black border on the top and bottom of the screen. You can also watch the entire movie and hear the director's scene for scene comments.

I was very pleased with my purchase.

The basement scenes were very dark in the theater as well, so it's how they were shot. The extras are pretty fun, Prince involvement or not.

I pretty much contributed the "darkness" of the film to the lighting. I think the overall picture quality on this remaster is quite good considering the age of the film. Mr. Fargnoli does mention the "darkness" of the basement scene on his commentary. When the scene was shot, the photographers lost camera negative. Because of this, he had to lift that particular take of the scene from a work print. Hey, it was only his second film.
