How old is "Storm"?

It sounds straight off of the "For You" album--even though it's uptempo, it just reminds me a lot of "Baby"
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

I should leave it to one of the scholars but I think he made that in the same sessions as the songs on the For You album. There's a boot w/ early versions of songs off that album & Storm is in there too...

Early Prince song (lyrics by Chris Moon) - "Make It Through The Storm".

Several recorded versions are listed in Uptown's 'The Vault', the earliest dating back to 1976.

Two subsequent versions are listed as having been recorded during 1977 sessions, including one in the 'For You' sessions.

The most recent, again unreleased, version was recorded with Sue Ann Carwell in 1978.

A different recording entitled 'Make It Through The Storm' was later released by Carwell in 1981 using the original lyrics but with different music, and with no Prince involvement.

I always thought the circulating version was from the sessions that resulted in the "Prince" -album?
