Okay, i heard alota people on this site said that the song was funky and cool and ..whatever and i know dis was prolly already a topic, but um... i had jus heard the song P Control like a day or 2 ago (on this website called cdzlimited.com) and i was like ugggh! what is this?!... "Oh No!". Im sorry to who all are fans of this song- but it jus sounded all weird to me and i could not stand that song ....and i think his rappin was jus... terrible- ...though the song was kinda funny (a lil' bit) but just wanna know what you all think of that song also and if alota people like it/ hate it or whatever - (cause i surely thought it sounded a hot mess)

PControl is FUNK

I LOVE P Control! I was at Glam Slam when he brought it in to play for the first time. I was up in the Erotic City area with some friends (what up Gemini ) and Prince walked in and sat by the DJ. The DJ said "would you all like to hear a new song? Only you and the creator has heard it so far." We all looked at each other like "ya right, I probably have a boot with it on there in the car." Then he put on P Control and we all danced to this new song that he created THAT day, now THAT was cool! It was a couple of days before the Love Experience shows at Glam Slam. I love that song, and I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with being one of the first to hear it and remembering Prince watching us dance to it

Pussy Control is the shiznit! Every club I go to that plays that song gets everyone out on the dance floor. It's got a slammin beat and the lyrics make me laugh everytime. And the chicks really dig it. They love danicing to this song and I love dancing with them!!!

I agree. It sound like hot sh!t. I don't care what anyone says. Like you, I was disappointed when I first heard P Control. People carry on so much about the song, that i was expecting it to be the bomb.

Whether you like it or not, Pussy Control has become somewhat of a classic. Like Erotic City, and Irristable bitch, it is a dance club favorite that people, some of whom don't even like Prince, can't resist.

You ain't funky at all

I think it's a very good composition, a cool song. but it just sounds so
flat and tinkering. It could have done with some more stomping live drum
and such. Just to flesh it out a bit.

A song with such a statement should be hung upon a bit heavier beat imo.

for the rest, it's all good.

Once he put pussy shock value in the lyrics, I guess he didn't feel the need to craft quality lyrics.

You know when I first heard this song I didn't get it. Same thing with the Chaos and Disorder album. You may have to go back to this song because it really is brilliant. Yes it is weird but aren't we use to weird from Prince? It's weird, funny and funky. The rap is not meant to be a Jay-Z or Snoop type of thing. He's just telling you a story to keep you entertained.

Just focus on the groove, the groove is real nasty and then that silly screaming he does is a direct ode to Little Richard.

Trust me this man really is a musical genius (someone who has mastered their voice and lent a TREMENDOUS influence on music.)

eh heh!!! well actually , when i first read the lyrics on a lyrics website i was like....um,, whoa! ..oh my, very explicit! and whatever...but when i heard the song, 2 me it didn't sound all that bad ( i mean the vulgarity/language) and whatever,...but i just still hate the beat and the flow of it ...and whatever ...but i still think the song coulda atleast had a better beat and sound 2 it!! ya know what i mean ..

I don't much care for the album version myself. i like the versio he played on the VH1 Fashion Awards much better. That beat/ryhthm is much more funkier!

I know I'm going to be booed but if "Days of wild" would've been on the album PC would've not mattered.

P-control is great because it is an empowering song for women. He sings about the power that women have(unfortunately too many give it up just cuz some dude has a car or says "i love u"). In this scenario, the girl was taught by her mother properly: she went on & got her education(master's degree) and made sure that she could take care of herself before she fell head over heels for some man.No self esteem issues there. Too bad other artists are not so positive when protraying women in their music.
