The horns in Sly's "I Wanna Take You Higher" remind me very much of a Prince song... The horns in the chorus.
Anyone know if he ever sampled/plagerised it?

Anyone know if he ever sampled/plagerised it? The funky guitar in Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again) is just like the funky guitar in Mountains. Check it out! Goodnight, sweet Prince.

Dig a little deeper into the funk and you'll see A LOT of similarities....the ending of James Browns "hot pants" horn section (@6:30) is the exact, I mean to the note, same as the turnaround he used the musicology tour during "life of the party"...the horns in the first section of "hot pants" also bear a strong resemblance to those in "housequake"....but check out "Ain't it Funky Now".very musicology"ish"...and a human funk encyclopedia turned me onto the fact that a lot of the rainbow children album sounds like it was lifted directly from herbie hancock...

I think there's some 'Everyday People' at the end of 'Jughead' (after the "yo hommie kick it just like that").
