Did Prince Ever Admit That He Was Jamie Starr? I know that he has denied it many times, but has he ever actually admitted it? I mean, the proof is in the production, so Prince isn't really fooling anyone. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Perhaps an implied admission somewhere n the middle of acknowledging the TIME music/program was all his...don't know if he went as far as throwing n 'The Family' & 'Madhouse' truth....he'll changes so much so u can either 1) go with what seems True 2 U or 2)revive your doubt & confusion everytime he speaks

Dez Dickerson talks freely about the Jamie Star "phony" moniker on his website, admitting that it was used as a tool to seperate Prince from his other projects. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

The centre of the official Nude Tour programme / booklet provides a songography of sorts, detailing Prince songs released by other artists, as well as songs by Christopher Tracy, Alexander Nevermind, Jamie Starr, and Joey Coco.
Other than where Prince's identity behind these pseudonyms is necessarily revealed on databases for legal purposes (e.g. copyright, royalty payment), this appears to be an official admission - at least of sorts - of authorship on merchandise. . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

So you mean he didn't have any choice but to admit that he was, in fact, Jamie Starr. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

isn't there a discography on npgmc that includes songs by other artists. Did they include these tracks there? No time to wade through that site to check myself.

The official website discographies (most recently in the section of the Vault, but also in at least one previous incarnation of the website) included songs recorded by other artists with authorship originally given under a pseudonym. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.
