Who played sax on "Desire"? I'm not normally a sax fan, but the playing on P's version of this track is enough to make me a believer. Anyone know who's playing on it? My god, how could I just have discovered this track after 20 years as a fan?! | |

One of my favourite topics ...the song "Desire".
Well, there is this ultra super mega cool version on The Purple Rush box set. It`s from a Revolution rehearsal, and it`s quite a bit different. Although the melody is the exact same, it has minor chords to it, which sounds absolutly fucking great. If you liked the Eric`s playing on the track which i believe you heard, then you wait until you hear the recording i am talking about. Not to mention the fabulous guitar solo from Prince. Ah....this is what i like, that`s my shit. Prince heaven. Love...thy will b done | |

It really has a totally different vibe than most of his songs--very sexy and sad at the same time. | |
