I say....

The Gold Experience, that time period in his career was amazing, the music, the vibe was cool.

Your thoughts..

MUSICOLOGY 04! Come on! The Gold era 1995 was a bad time for Prince: The Symbol name, the war with Warner Bros.
Goodnight, sweet Prince.

Musicology era easy. He was on the cover of everything and was the hottest tour of the year. TGE era had a great album but everything else around it was pretty boring.
Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

TGE because everything was raw and unscripted and o(+> didn't give a damn about anything he did what he did while Prince is like just very private about himself

In '95 everyone was making fun of Prince and calling him a whiny, washed up rock star. In 2004, everyone was calling him an extraordinary living legend and as great a performer as ever. That seals it for me.

A happy, respected Prince=a happy fan right here

The "Musicology" era was much more exciting for me strictly for the fact that he toured close enough in my area for me to go to the concert.

You know it! lol Hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go...especially when you've been drinking. Thanks to the org, I already knew there was going to be an accoustical set so I knew exactly when to go. If I had known that set was going to last that long, I would have gone outside and smoked a cigarette instead of bending down, hiding, and fanning the smoke in the coliseum. evillol

I had been drinking beer in the back seat on the long ride up there. I had some gin in the hotel room and had one of my lady friends to sneak the gin into the concert in her purse. I bought one of those high priced ass $6 24 ounce beers and a Sprite to mix with the gin at the arena, so you know I was good and ready for a bathroom break. lol

It was a hard time being a Prince fan in 1995. It was hard explaning to people why Prince changed his name to a symbol. Prince never really explaned it intell he changed his name back to Prince. Why he has slave on his face. The war with Warner Bros. Why he has a mask on as Tora Tora Tora in the NPG Exodus. Also in the 1990s Prince was trying to do hip hop. Prince was totally misunderstood in 1995.
Goodnight, sweet Prince.

"Musicology" era for me.

I love TGE, but by the time the album finally came out, I had heard nearly every song on the disc already, and I was disappointed to find Days Of Wild wasn't included.. No tour nearby, no real promotion for the album, and what should have been a fun CD got washed up in bad PR and embarrassing public appearances. I was so sick of explaining why I liked Prince that I wanted to puke.
