Even though I necessarly haven't lived through all his freah releses in the eighties I still have his collection and know all the Prince eras and such Being a kid in Minneapolis though with the radio as your main entertainment you are exposed to a healthy dose of Prince I remember hearing Cindy C. on KDWB (our main pop radio station in Mpls). even though Black Album was shelved at the time even though I was too young to make the connection of who Prince was, I just knew I liked the songs so in a way I guess I was exposed to his eighties music I just didn't know it was him..Around the late ninties Prince was really testing my nerves with some of his material. Like Rave and the rainbow children also Emancipation has some good songs on it but for the most part it didn't get me excitied like his earlier work. When I heard "Call my name" for the first time I was like Prince's music started to excite me again like it used to. Then I got the Musicology album again and it was like rediscovering him!

Krystal666 said: Turnitup, it is cool. You are right, if Prince is happy I am happy for him cuz I have alot of love for that man. Even though it would be cool if I was wife number #3 (ha ha) I realize that the chances of that are pretty slim. It is just kinda of annoying on this board when women who joke about stealing Prince away from Mani are acused of hating. Actually I think ever since Mani has entered the picture P's music has improved tenfold. So for that I am thankful. As for people calling her a complete ugmo, well personaly I don't think she is that attractive but all that matters is that P thinks so and aparently he does.
Hey Krystal, don't give up. Your fantasy just might become a reality. Keep in mind Mani was a Prince fan(HINT) and then she was one of his employees before becoming his wife. So nothing is impossible. But if you do become wife #3, you go girl cuz I would pass out if I met Prince, so I know I couldn't be is wife cuz I would pass out at the alter too. (haha)

I think Prince and Mani make a beautiful couple regardless of the immature comments from the "Mani-haters". People will find anything to make fun of or put down (ie: her necklace)
He has never seemed happier with any woman before Mani. Granted, he wrote all those great songs for Mayte, but he didn't seem nearly as happy with her as he does with Mani. I hope they have many years of happiness together and I hope they have children one day too.

We fans Love Prince that goes without saying. The man is Married Cause he didn't want to JUGGLE HEARTS Like A 3 Ring Circus. {FOREVER IN MY LIFE} Of Course we WISH he was Single and the TYPE to FOOL AROUND. I like Manuela from what I have seen. I say if they are Happy and it SEEMS they Are well then wish them well. I will always love Mayte and his Mayte years. I hope his music gets more SEXUAL, but who Knows because he is kind of SUBDUED with the Jehovah Vibe. We all Must Have REAL Relationships and Real Lives and Forget about Living THEIR LIVES. Peace and Love CHILDREN....

Prince looks like he put on a little weight. Which is good because sometimes he looks a little too skinny. He looks SEXY!

i think mani is younger than mayte. i think she's about 28 years old That ain't much younger, Mayte just turned 30 in November. Remember when Prince had that Happy Birtday Mayte in neon lights at the Emancipation concert at his Paisley Park Studios. That was in November, but I don't know what day her birthday is. Mayte was born in "74".

If I remember correctly, Mayte was born on November 12 (or somewhere around that date). RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Prince's music started to excite me again like it used to. Then I got the Musicology album again and it was like rediscovering him! See this is why I am really digging Prince in a more "sophisticated" way Prince has such a catalog of material that what appeals to one may not appeal to another, but wait a couple of months, because he will come out with something that will be 180 degree the opposite way musically. Like I have heard him say before, "something for everybody". And I totally agree with your statement. I feek exactly the same way. Musicology brought me back and now I am discovering missed jems of the 90's. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack
