I am absolutely fascinated by Prince's footwear. I guess the high heels are purely to make up for what he lacks in height. For a while, I thought it was partly a fetish too. Then again, I never saw him in open-toed heels or the pointy POINTY ones. It seems like he's always in basic boots that match his outfit. Was anyone as shocked as me to see him in platform sneakers during the Musicology special?

The moon boot look was definitely weird.

My take on it is that those high heels have taken a toll on his body. His heels are mad high. I have a pair of really high heeled shoes (3.5") and I cannot wear them for more than a few hours. I can only imagine what it's like to wear 4" heels all the time AND dance in them.

I bet he's screwed up his calves (varicose veins), maybe his back.
