hey everyone I've been noticing here that some people really like the COME album. I too enjoy it, but I've felt most people didn't like it and that's why it was such a poor seller, or was such a poor seller cuz Warner bros. never pushed it? For some reason I've always thought it was a project that had jsut a bunch of left over songs from other cd's, but I know longer think that is the case as the album has a nice flow to it!


So after all that I guess the ? is: DO more people like this album then hate it?

Come was one of the 90's albums (along with Chaos & Disorder & Crystal Ball/the Truth, New Power Soul)that I liked right away. Particularly Come.

For some reason the "lesser" albums always appeal to me on first listen.

Yes, love the album.
Esspecially the titeltrack, Space and Letitigo.

The title track is one of my favorite songs of all time. There are so many different styles in one song that I feel that it is a masterpiece (even though the are some weird background noises) All of the other songs except Solo, and Orgasm (which isn;t a song really) are fantastic!

I love Come! It was the 3rd album of P.'s I owned, and I loved it right off the bat.

since '82, it's the only Prince album that made it to the shelves before i knew it existed -- maybe that's why it had low sales, it caught some people by surprise? also had the least amount of radio-play at the time. but i like it -- the only tracks i skip regularly are solo and orgasm -- tho it's a dark album and i don't play it much 'cept when i'm in the mood

i absolutely love COME Phermone is my fave... if it wasn't pushed publically by warner that's too bad. but it is probly his most sexual album...ever that i know of. not to mention the lyrics are just

I think it's his best post-SOTT album. After some very bloated albums loaded with filler and segues, it came as something of a relief to get a fairly concise record. Six excellent songs, two appealingly bizarre ones (come and papa) and two unlistenable bits of nonsense (solo and orgasm): I think that adds up to a pretty entertaining package. This is actually the only post-SOTT disc I listen to with any kind of regularity.
