Good Love Appreciation Thread I'm a relative newbie and I am sure this thread has been done before but isn't this song still awesome after 16 years? Did anyone else see that piece of crap Michael J. Fox version of Bright Lights, Big City just because this song is in it? I believe it is played in the club right before MJF goes into the bathroom and sees that freaky baby looking thing. That scene and another scene involving some hilarious use of ferrets is the only thing I recall about the whole movie. That and this gem of a song.
I still don't know what apple kisses are. I'm not sure why Gustav Mahler is namechecked four or five times. But damn, the man sings "plethora of euphoria" as an actual lyric which has to get props in my book. There is so much going on in this song, musically, lyrically, and vocally, that it should be the ADHD national anthem. Love this song! All good things they say never last...

First time I heard this song was in Atlanta, GA. One of the top 40 station DJs traded jobs with one of the country station DJs, so these two country DJs introduced the song something like this:
"Now, we've got a new song from this guy named Prince. But, judging by the album cover, he should be called 'queen.'" Made me laugh. I just assumed the song was going to be on Lovesexy because of that. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. I love this song sooooo much. I used to play it over and over just so that I can hit that "oooh".

You know what's really scary?
I thought about this 10 seconds ago. Of Prince's official releases, it is among Prince's least-known masterpieces. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I love that song. I love most of the shit he was doing when it sounded like he was snorting helium.

I really like this song too and like most other people on here got the OST and watched the film because of it. I remember being stunned at the quality of this track with it not being on any of his own albums. .... at the time .... I know it's on Crystal Ball [Edited 12/20/04 12:52pm]

It is supremely delicious.
The Camille album itself has to be one of the very finest Prince ever made.

Sorry to break the pattern here but I really dont like this syrupy crap song. Easily the worst Camille song imho. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
