Trying to Get back into Purple Music... Howdy Ya'll,
I'm trying to get back into Prince after a long time away from his music. Seems I got burned out on the purple one, after over indulging in his material. Missing the Musicology tour as well, really bummed me out as well. Hell, I still don't have that album! I do miss the boldy creative, kwirky, and and controversial Prince of my youth but it's not the 80s anymore... I don't think I've permanently lost interest in Prince, as he's been a fave of mine for over 20 years now, just seems that I have drifted away from the flock.... I've got tons of boots on CD and DVD. I'm currently trying to decide which recordings to rediscover, that would reignite my passion for his purple majesty's creative genius... Over the last few months, the only P that I've exposed myself too to have been SOTT (the concert film), Lovesexy Dortmund 88, a few classic 12 inch mixes, and of course the 20th anniversary edition of Purple Rain, and the accompanying "Severe Storms" boot PR compilation. Though I did listen to th 1999 album on my way to work this morning and that brought back many great memories... Any suggestions? Thanks! Milan

"Right The Wrong" and "Zannalee" set on endless repeat loop in your CD-player, a six-pack of beer (make it 2 packs). You'll learn to appreciate the 90s when you're tolly drunk.
