I love everything about Prince, even that hat. He's so cool and can do no wrong in my eyes, which is how it should be if you a true fan razz .

Parade is one of his best albums, and what makes him "white" in it, tut tut tut. yes shame on you Krystal.

Think he wrote under the cherry moon about me xxxxx

neutral Excuse me for having a personality not totally taken over by just one man.
Prince has done wrong fashionwise many a time---

uh-- rave unto the beloved boxbraids mad
right before that when he had that gaunt, heroin chic look mad

NOTE:the assless yellow suit was NOT one of them-- I loved that look.

poke Dont let others predict for u what is cool, hon. Disagree when you see fit.

Yes-- I hate that black hat he's wearing, i dont care if it was inspired by France...
I would love to ask him what the hell he was thinking wearing it..... shrug

I like the bellbottoms bcuz they showed off the abs and let us bear witness to the pelvic thrusting--
or was that just my imagination? shrug

I wanted to apologize if I offended anyone with my remarks after rereading my post it does seem a little silly. Honestly I don't see Prince as a color I just see him as amazing, One of my favortie things about Prince is he was able to bring white and black music fans together and expose black people to more guitar orientated music and white people to funk music. It annoys me when my black friends think anything that isn't made by black people is werid and when my white friends think that anything made black aritists is unrelatable. I just care it the music makes me feel something. I know steryotyping people as "white" and "black" just renforces steryotypes but I'm not saying I completly dislike him during the Parade era he was still making great music and still was hot becuase he is P after all he is still my little Prince darling and I will love him always...but some things are off like doesn't his skin color seem lighter? He just physically looks more like a white man to me more so than in Purple Rain.

Oh Prince is acting "white" during the Parade era????? That's right black people only act, talk, and dress a certain way.Mostly like the hip hop stereo types that you see on TV. Don't tell Spike Lee, Bill Cosby, or Denzel. White people act, talk, and dress entirely differently. Don't tell Eminem or Elvis. This is not a sweeping generalization, nor racism, nor bigotry. It has been scientifically proven. And music? Ohhhh no. Black folks and white folks always always always make different music. No exceptions.

-----

Honestly, does anyone of any color dress how Prince dressed in "Under the Cherry Moon"? Weren't Tricky and Christopher smooth talkin', street hustlin', BLACK, gigalos? If you honestly believe that people of different races act a different ways exclusively based on their color then you have a lot more troubles than what Prince is up to. How people act and behave has a lot more to do with the socio economic status than their color.

-----
It is Socio-Economic status and color that effect they way people conduct themselves. I also ways belived that P was acting out the black gigolo character and trying to lighten up a bit after the seriousness of Purple Rain. .

That is often the biggest determining factor.
