None really because me being embarassed to play them would mean that I give a crap what someone else would think about what I'm listening to. I'm embarassed for Prince for Animal Kingdom and Da Da Da however.

Now Im afraid Im not one of those people who still holds Prince as a genius...but teh reason 'outsiders' dont get If I Was Your Girlfriend is because it is a genuinely clever song....as casual listener would just hear gay lyrics whereas it quite obviously isnt about that at all...how could it be?

I sometime end up skipping through tracks that I love because I put myself in soembody elses shoes and think "what must this sound like to somebody who hasnt grown with this song" eg the end of Darling Niki where he says "grind,grind" but sounds more like an angry crow or most of TRC.

The there are the songs where I feel embarassed for Prince (thats how thoughtful I am) such as Temptation, Tamborine (that damn whistling) most of TRC etc

And there are the songs that I just dont get it when people dont like them...Pink Cashmere, Arms of Orion etc

I have to go with "Arms of Orion" on this one. I really like this song, but I can't listen to it in the presence of another. I always feel awkward and shifty. However, if I listen to it alone, I often start singing along with heartfely emotion. Think of watching that new show on VH-1 where they secretly tape people singing in their cars. That wold totally be me with this song. At times if feel the song is silly and stupid, but yet I still love it.










As a matter of fact...I'm by myself right now...I think I'll give it a spin.








And if ANYONE says they secretly like "Animal Kingdom," I will personally assasinate you. That song should be hated publicly by ALL. It is a terrible song..., no matter what.
