Just saw on CNN news, Pollstar has ranked Prince as the #1 ticket seller for 2004 concerts, 87.4 MILLION dollars. And since I hear his overhead cost is low, that Brutha made a whole lotta money in 2004.

I think this stat is referring to tickets sold. I'm pretty sure P did more shows than Madonna this year. She definitely grossed more $$ on her tour, but I guess Pollstar feels that puttin' booties in the seats is a more important criteria for the #1 spot than how much loot was made.
