Rock Hard In A Funky Place

does anyone know if the horn line (same one used in the live version of I Could Never Take The Place...) is from anything else, or was it written by Prince/Eric Leeds?

I can't remember the source, but I remember a quote from Prince saying that the horn line was made for another track, or during playing/jamming on another track - and Prince thought it was so funky, he wrote another song to incorporate it (Rock Hard).

Anyone have that quote?

From NPGMC's Chat with Eric Leeds:

Redbone: Hi Eric, Did you come up with the horn arrangement thats on "Rockhard In A Funky Place"? Peace!

ERIC LEEDS: Yes, Rockhard is mine. It's actually part of a composition of mine I played with my own group years ago called Pacemaker

Peace to Redbone!
