I don't know, he probably was making fun at some of the questions that people were asking about him. I've always loved the fact that he had the guts to throw a line like that in people's faces and not do the rest of the song trying to explain what he actually was.

This list could go on forever and it's really quite astounding how many amazing musical moments Prince has put to tape, but I'll just list ten moments off the top of my head that are personal favourites:

Call My Name - The part of the song where he makes an allusion to the street he lives on in Toronto, 'cause I grew-up right around there.

I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man - The call and response in the guitar solo at the end (and the little ad-lib in the live version, when he says "At least I wouldn't" after "But U know and I know that we wouldn't be satisfied").

Sign 'O' the Times - Pretty much the whole song, although the intro is spine-tingling.

I Wanna Be Your Lover - "The only one that makes you come...runnin'".

Sometimes It Snows in April - "Cars like that don't pass you every day".

U Got the Look - "Boy vs. Girl, in the World Series of Love"; "I never seen such a pretty girl look so tough".

Purple Rain - "Honey, I know times are changin'/It's time we all reach out for somethin' new (that means U, too)".

17 Days - The mesmerizing intro (especially the bassline).
