ONE NITE ALONE - the phat 'n' funky 'n' freaky live record of all time? daaaamn...!!

put one nite alone cd 2 in your harddrive , track 4 - 'the everlasting now'...
that is so much fun and so much funk. a band so tight and a singer so committed to the pumpin pumpin pumpin black sound !

man, that is such a charmin' listen.

whoever claiming that prince's 90's or 00's is a fall from former standards really should consider reconsidering. the one nite alone cd so well proves that prince is during his fourties vital as ever. and committed to partying...

might he have released strange cd's, might he have turned his back on conformity and safeness, he always kept it going !!!!

and still does... what are we to expect ??
it might be big

thoughts??

Anxiety

i do wonder how we're all gonna look back on ONA live in, say, five years or so. i think prince's albums tend to age pretty well, overall. i find that albums that i didn't care much for at the time of release, i can revisit four or five years later and hear with new ears and a new appreciation. i like ONA live, though aspects of it grate on my nerves (quit making the audience sing! i wanna hear YOU, prince! lol ).

I recently started listening to this collection again, and boy oh boy, let me to you they kicked my ass...my favorites are Disc One and the After Hours.

I was fortunate to attend two of the ONA shows plus an after party at The House of Blues in Los Angeles and they have been by far one of my highlights in my Prince obsession/experiences...

I've got to get my hands on this cd. I've not heard anything about a video/DVD recording. Is there one? If not, that's a damn shame!
Come here, babe.. yeah...

I am sure there are lot's of bootleggs but nothing wrong with purchasing ONA from the artist rather than the black market. The avg person just wants to go to the record shop and by a funking disc.
