Remember when he appeared with Larry Graham and Chaka Kahn on the Vibe show, hosted by Sinbad? Remember when he played the final set with the three of them? He comes out in a floor-length black or brown gown. Then when they do a breakdown in the middle of Free, he comes out in all his glory?

White floorlength garb that was not a kaftan and closest thing to a

Whatever you wanna call it, hon - a dress is a dress, just like a kilt is still a skirt. It's intended as a compliment. A rose by any other name, especially in Prince's case, would still smell as sweet. For Prince, it would probably smell like Lavendar. Again, all compliments. If he can pull off hooker heels, he can pull off anything. And one of you has the icon that I talked about in another posting, of Prince looking like a drag queen.

Don't you think u r being a little ignorant here? I take your point, but someone has pointed out to you that it was a Kaftan which isn't a dress but clothing for a man in a culture other than yours. A tad rude to just disregard that because it doesn't suit your argument. A Katfan is not a dress just as high heeled boots are not cowboy boots for instance.

Look up Kaftan in the dictionary or an encylopedia. You are being a little ignorant on this matter. Kaftan are a common article of clothing worn in other cultures.
