I'd have to say ATWIAD. Easily.

With that release he gave us the billiant 9 minute version of Pop Life, the exquisite Girl, the outstanding She's Always In My Hair, my personal favourite version of Paisley Park, and the overlong, but super funky all the same, 21 minute version of America.

I'd put Purple Rain a close 2nd for 17 Days and Erotic City alone.

1. Purple Rain-Legendary batch of singles and could have gone deeper in the album...The Beautiful Ones and Baby I'm a Star were not released as singles, which shows you how strong the singles that were released were. B sides (Erotic City, God) were also pretty damn strong.

2 Sign O the Times- Title track, U got the Look, I Could Never Take the Place...what a great batch of singles. If I Was Your Girlfriend was a huge mistake, popwise, but did very well on R and B. La la la Hee He He. Shockadelica were decent B-sides. Extended U Got the Look was awesome.

3. Diamonds and Pearls-Gett Off, Cream, and title track...Money Don't Matter 2Night was not really pop friendly but hit Top 20 anyway. Extended Gett Off and Cream maxi-singles were very strong. Don't know why they used Horny Pony as a single twice.
All good things they say never last...

And we can't forget the ever glorious "17 Days." That track was definitely a keeper.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I left that out but definitely a strong b-side.

ATWIAD had the best B sides. Man the days from Purple Rain to SOTT had some awesome stuff. Thats the only reason I bought singles, was because of the B sides

I would have to co-sign on this. The ATWIAD extended versions were even more experimentally askew than the album. And that whole record kind of caught us all off guard - in a good way, for me.

But the Purple Rain b-sides, and especially the remix of Lets Go Crazy fight a hard battle for first place.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Snap

Lovesexy era: This is not music, this is a trip (Alphabet St), Glam Slam extended, Escape extended, Scarlet Pussy, and the extra-long funky version of I Wish U Heaven

Around the World is a close 2nd for me

2 Purple Rain
3 Parade
4 SOTT
5 Lovesexy
6 Diamonds and Pearls
7 1999

I'd have to say anything that was recorded between the Dream Factory and Lovesexy sessions (though these were released any time between 87 and 98 I think!) is worth tracking down, so roll on SOT, Lovesexy, Batman b'sides...

That's tough but I'd have to give it to Purple Rain, then 1999, then ATWIAD.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I must shamefully admit that I haven't heard a lot of these extended versions.
I really liked the extended Let's Go Crazy and Mountains, have yet to hear extended Pop Life, paisley park, alphabet street etc...

The B-Sides of Around The World in A Day are more powerful the anything on the album. She's Always In My Hair, Hello and Girl. Also the Remixs of the songs Raspberry Beret, Pop Life and America are more powerful then the album versions. Paisley Park should have been released as a single in the US.
Goodnight, sweet Prince.

The covers of all the best 12"'s are hanging on my wall:

"Little Red Corvette"
-till-
"Gett Off"

Also included:
"Come On"
&
"The Greatest Romance Ever Sold" (cuz of the Adam and Eve Remix)

...among others

BUT, the COOLEST run of singles definately came from ATWIAD!!! badass
