I love the jokers moves, like when they r holding their guns etc.....funny choreography.....I love it! Heck even prince does a few moves.


Then next year he did the superb video to "cream", then.?.....he stopped trying to dance, shame.....

Filmed May 28th & 29th 1989. The Batdance video was choreographed by Barry Lather, the video featured 15 Batgirl,Joker and Vicki Vale dancers. Prince played Gemini Batman/Joker. Directed by Albert magnoli. The Dark Knight Returns comics influnced Magnoli in directing Batdance.

I remember seeing MC Hammer on MTV in spring 1989.He was being interviewed by one of the Music VJs,and he mentioned that Prince asked him to choreograph a video from his upcoming 'Batman' soundtrack.I guess the plans fell through and Prince chose another choreographer instead?

Similarly,in early 1990,I heard that Prince asked Paula Abdul to choreograph some of the dance scenes in 'Graffiti Bridge'.Not sure if she ever did,probably not.

Wow, thanx 4 the Hammer info, I had no idea seriously! None of "GB" was touched by Paula (I hope), she could surely not choreograph the crapness that is "tick tick bang"! I love the dancing in "batdance".....Hammers approach woulda been interesting I guess.....

It was Barry Lather.

He later commented on how competitive it all turned to be between him and Prince during the shoot.
