Need Help On A Prince Compilation Lotta buddies of mine know I dig Prince's music, but whenever I show them something, they usually shrug it off. But, I do have this one friend who's getting into Prince's music, but he only knows songs like Purple Rain and When Doves Cry. I told him there was a lot more to the man's music, but I never knew where to start, which records to show him. So, I wanted to burn a compilation for my friend so he could see all different sides of Prince, but I need help. As of right now, I only have 3 songs to contribute to it. If you're going to help me, the songs I'm looking to put on the thing shouldn't be too poppy, but not too avant garde, not too much into his falsetto range, but not so much of his lower octave either, not too electronic sounding, kind of showing off his guitaring, something not too homosexual, but at the same time nothing overtly hetero, and if the songs you like have Prince doing his orgasmic screams (ow!) a lot, try to keep that to a minimum please.
The songs I have in mind are: When Doves Cry - This is his favorite one (so far) Something In The Water (Does Not Compute) - I know I said earlier to not make the songs too electronic and to keep Prince's screaming to a minimum, but I love this song and just have to share it Let's Go Crazy (Extended) - This would be the opener. Gotta love the pseudo-Hendrix solo at the end Peace.

I've done several compilations with the tastes of a specific listener in mind, and it's not easy because there are usually parts of Prince's style they don't like.`
` If your friend doesn't like screaming and sound that is too electronic, then you should get the piano version of Something in the Water. This version is a fave of several "non-fans" friends of mine who still dig some of Prince's music.

She's Always in my hair`
I could never take the place of your man` Irresistable Bitch (every "non-fan" should hear this one. Along with Head and Let's Work, it's one of Prince's most concise and effective early '80's funk songs, but it's not as sweet and works better than those two others with "non-fans".) Darling Nikki (this is the one exception to the "no screaming" rule -- everyone loves this song, I swear).` Honkytonk Women (if you have this, it works well with the average male)
