Even when I was at the height of my Prince fascination from 1980-1984, I never listened to Prince, and only Prince, exclusively. I would have gotten bored and burned out on his music real quick.

Way too far, dear. There's so much good music out there, it would be a shame to restrict yourself to Prince. And I'm sure he'd agree.

I'm sure P doesn't obsess over himself that much.....

Nawwww...having his eyes painted on the walls of his house and envisioning a world where lakes form in the shape of his new unpronouncable name are obvious indicators of someone who radiates modesty whilst 'keepin' it real yo' with his wide variety of interests beside exploring every devine light source and dirty alleyway spinning around his muse, all the time maintaining a healthy outlook and realistic perspective of personal satisfaction with his place in the cosmos.

Prince Nelson sees only himself in the eyes of others, dude. wink

I was wondering if my personal Prince obsession has gone to far? All I will listen to is Prince music, and when I even try to listen to something else, i feel guilty and have to turn it off and listen to P. I have to at least watch one P movie a day and have to read pretty much every new post on the org!!! A lot of my friends get mad when I refuse to let them turn off my P cd's, but it's almost like I feel like I'm cheating on him if I listen to anything else!!! I can't put pictures up of anyone besides P in my locker because I feel it needs to be ALL Prince!!! Should i really feel this way and is there anyone else who feels the same??? Please help me and my obsession!!!!!

i'm obsessed too, and there was a point (more like 7 months...) where my diet was pretty much prince. but then it kinda went into massed overload and it wasn't workin for me anymore. and i kinda got confused... yea. silly time. but u should listen to other things besides prince. or if u like him SO SO MUCH then try to find artists that were inspired by him or that he was inspired by. slow ween urself away. take it down to a movie a week, then maybe to a month... slowly ween away. don't go cold turkey. i still have mad obsession with P but i listen to other stuff too. biggrin biggrin it's cool. don't worry.

now, now, u will be ok
seriously listen 2 other stuff as well, don't deprive the mind of all the other cool stuff that is out there, don't 4get there are a lot of Prince influenced artists out there and those who are not, that u would appreciate, if u give urself the chance to break away from 24/7 Prince only club.
u r not cheating on Prince by opening ur ears & mind to others, you're only cheating on yourself, give it a go.

ok, next.....
