The problem is that we are likely to get a DVD of the Musicology Tour that we've all seen a few times and another jazz CD. I'm completely down for the jazz CD, but I'm waiting for "The Dawn".

Funny, because i've always been waiting for The Dawn as well.I always envisioned it as a complete artistic statement, slightly more accessible than TRC (which I love). All the years of hyping may u live to see the dawn was a big let down after teasing us with a b-side accoustic version of the song The Dawn.
Instead of a spawling, ambitious release after Emancipation,we got Crystal Ball,NPS,and Rave.
He's back on the right track though, with wonderful music from TRC,N.E.W.S,One Nite Alone (piano) Xpectation and most of Musicology, and I mean it with sincerity.

My thoughts exactly.... What is with all these negative people? Why read this newsgroup at all if you don't appreciate the work(s) we have seen over the entire 25 + years? Mo music Mo music Mo music... it's that simple... and it's all good ... just some better than others... oh well...

I feel it too! Things have been suspiciously quiet over at the NPGMC camp since the closing Musicology show... it's like it was in mid-2003 again lol

are you actually eating the needle and the spoon? I don't get your leaving out the put in the lyrics, which make it make sense...put down the needle, put down the spoon. stop doing heroin!

what does your abbreviated version mean?
this message brought to you by logic.

My hunch is if there is a dvd/cd of the Musicology tour
the time to release it would be around Grammy award time
presuming he gets some grammy nominations.
That way the dvd promo can piggyback on the grammy news.
He gets some nominations/awards for Musicology &
BAM! theres the dvd/cd combo to entice people.

Right on. I'm feeling like back in the eighties for every new release now since TRC. And don't forget his albums have to grow on you. I mean, I even listen to "Come" these days and love it! I remember being reeeealy dissapointed at the time of release. No mather what some people say, to me it proves his work's still ahead of time, sometimes! Just my opinion, but it makes me feel GOOD! Aaaaaw! biggrin
