Prince vis a vis Dylan

Anybody have any stories, info, anecdotes about Prince and Dylan? I'm wondering if they ever met, or if either of them ventured an opinion about the other.

Sam's (9th March, 1981)
This was the 1st date of a secondary, 18-date club tour promoting the Dirty Mind album. Minnesota's other son Bob Dylan attended this show, and afterwards approached Prince's management asking 2 meet him. Prince wasn't interested and refused.

In a Dylan biography Behind The Shades by Clinton Heylin, there's a bit where George Harrison recalls
how, during a jamming session, Dylan announced he wanted to 'do one like Prince...and then he just started banging away: "Love Your Sexy Body..."'

Yeah, I heard that story too on a radio documentary. They played the track afterwards, I think - it was from The Travelling Wilbury's album. Something where the lyrics were about a woman, but using a classically "Princey" car metaphor.

Anyone know the track?
confused

That was a minor hit. Wow! Are we sure that's the song?

Hybrid

Dirty World, Traveling Wilburys Vol 1 (inspired by Prince biggrin)

He love your sexy body, he loves your dirty mind
He loves when you hold him when you grab him from behind
Oh baby, you're such a pretty thing
I can't wait to introduce you to the other members of my gang

You don't need no wax job, you're smooth enough for me
If you need you oil changed i'll do it for you free
Oh baby, the pleasure would be all mine
If you let me drive your pickup truck and park it where the sun don't shine

Every time he touches you his hair stands up on end
His legs begin to quiver and his mind begins to bend
Oh baby, you're such a tasty treat
But i'm under doctor's orders, i'm afraid to overeat

He love your sense of humor, your disposition too
There's absolutely nothing that he don't love about you
Oh baby, i'm on my hands and knees
Life would be so simple if i only had you to please

Oh baby, turn around and say goodbye
You go to the airport now and i'm going home to cry

(chorus)
He loves your...
Electric dumplings
Red bell peppers
Fuel injection
Service charge
Five-speed gearbox
Long indurance
Quest for junk food
Big refrigerator
Trembling wilbury
Marble earrings
Porky curtains
Power steering
Bottled water
Parts and services

(bridge)
Dirty world, a dirty world, it's a ...ing dirty world
