I think the person means how many times has he been nominated over the years. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer, but I'm sure someone on this site does. | |

Prince won 3 Grammys in 1985: (1) Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture (Purple Rain), (2) Writing The Best R&B Song Of The Year: I Feel For You (Chaka Khan and Melle Mel from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five) (3) Best Rock Performance by a Group for Purple Rain. Prince was nominated for 3 Grammys, including Album Of The Year for Sign "O" The Times, in 1988. Prince attended but didnt win any Grammys for U Got The Look or Sign "O" The Times, U2 won for the Joshua Tree. Prince won 10 awards, including Album Of The Year for Sign "O" The Times, at the 1988 Minnesota Music Awards in Minneapolis Prince sent saxophonist ERIC LEEDS to pick up the awards, Rude Boy Prince. Prince won Musician Of The Year at the 1982 Minnesota Music Awards, Prince said "When are they gonna give the one for the best ASS?" Goodnight, sweet Prince. | |
