FOR YOU and MUSICOLOGY, the first and latest attempt from prince. what would be the link ?

in my opinion, a man who deserves all the credit he can get for being able to produce, arrange.... (you know the line) an album with lovely sounds on it, good melodies, aaaawsome vocal-work (might he be the best singer on the planet?) and lots of beautiful ideas, philosophies and creativity to share with listeners around the globe....

Can't say it much better than that!

"for u" just sounds bland and too mid tempo to me.....same with his latest!

I think his singing is sooooo much better now. It was totally buried on For You.

Musicology to me is a return to the live sound of solo Prince (a la For You, Prince, Dirty Mind). I know people complain about the plastic sound of the fake horns, but it sounds to me like he's playing live drums more now than any time since Sign o the Times.
