Diamonds and Pearls tour U think it is one of his best?
I sure as hell do, pure showmanship as he dancers to.....prince is all over the place on this tour and the baxking band of musicians and dancers was HUGE! Plus u got the super sexy diamond and pearl and a underage mayte doing their things.....and the gameboyz crack me up! Best bit:- when the gameboyz, one by one, jump off the stage pantomime style after "jughead" Damon Dickson's amazing dance during "delerious/Strollin"! Pure classic.....the expressions r priceless The opening was pretty cool too...maybe in better then "lovesexy"! whilst some diehards may say the tour has dated, this too me was his best tour that had quite alot of cuts from "diamonds and pearls" plus the delightful "delerious" and "sexy MF"..... Prince really showed the world he could still dance and was on top of his game and with this tour, he took on Michael jackson as best entertainer as this was a show, not just a gig! | |

Let me just stop you right there. I can appreciate the fact that you love the Diamonds And Pearls Tour, but let's not start degrading the GREATEST SHOW EVER! Is it some kind of cult/religion thing u do? seriously though, i too love "lovesexy", but this holds nostalgia to me as it was the first concert I ever saw....plus the gameboyz outdance cat and d and p and Mayte r way sexier then any of the crew! the preacjing to me lets it down a little....."ladies and gentleman no preaching please"..... I mean, prince please shut up now and play me a tune and do not adlib that throwaway nonsense at me please | |

That's funny... I don't remember "preaching" on that tour. I remember him talking to the audience, enlightening people that there was a better way of living.
I think if people mistook that for preaching, they were sadly mistaken. And no it's not a cult/religion thing I do... merely having to state a fact from time to time, to those who apparently missed out on the whole Lovesexy experience. Now... the Rainbow Children. I got a boot from "Lovesexy" US tour and believe me does he ramble.....on the offical VHS he stays pretty cool but u should hear it....zzzzz.....anyone else seen this? Admittedly it is of piss poor visual quality but still mildly interesting..... | |

I've got Lovesexy boots where he talks for over 10 minutes, but it never sounded like a sermon to me. More like a friend talking about something cool.
Now, unfortunately, the Diamonds And Pearls Tour never hit the states, but from what I've seen of it, the best part of that tour was Lori Elle. The Gameboyz sucked and had no business being onstage with him. "Ooo lookth ath me... I'm doingth the Jughead!" As Damon's tongue is wagging outta his mouth, while trying to dance. They couldn't touch Cat or Mayté on the dance floor. Nope. No way... those girls would've made the Gameboyz look like they were standing still. Lovesexy Funkateer | |
