Is there a circulating outtake or fan-made version out there with a bassline?

Probably like it does live.

Sort of When Doves Cry with an Air Supply / Las Vegas vibe.

He seems to add bass to this song during the last half of the song in most of his live performances of it. I thought the Nude Tour bass version sounded pretty wicked.

There's a studio outtake circulating with the bass in it. I don't know if
it's on any of the cd bootlegs that are available now but I did have it
on a tape I got way back in the day when tape trading was still the only
way to get your mittens on bootlegged Prince material.

It sounded pretty weird. It was pretty much obvious why he would have
tried it without the bass cuz with it, it simply didn't sound good.
