Help settle a $100 bet I have a friend whose a serious rap/hip hop fan, that swears he'd never like anything by Prince. Well, I got in his car today and he had a song on by Bone Thugs and Harmony called "Change the World". If you've heard it, is that or is that not the music from "Little Red Corvette"? I know it is, and bet him a $100. When I tried to play it for him, he walked away saying I have Prince on the brain and hear him in everything. That may well be true, but I want my $100 anyway. | |

It does have the same chord sound. Is it exactly the same, no. But any prince fan can see its nearly identical. Do you owe him or he owe you. Well thats not enough to say he likes a prince song. | |

If he likes BoneThugz, maybe you should try the remix of Face Down - damn, I can't remember the name of the remix I'm talking about, but it's the one where P does that hybrid sing/rap thing: "Well this ain't nuthin' but anotha funky mack song, All I'm sayin's that I wanna smack it all night long, On and on til the early morn, Givin' up what you got so you can get yer groove on, And as long as I got your attention (uh-oh)..." - okay, sorry I get carried away!
Anyway, you should play that song for him and see what he thinks. Or 1999: The New Master, either one would do the trick I'm sure. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

...play him 2 Live & Die in LA or Thugs Get Lonely Too.. by Tupac then make the same bet.. that it samples Prince & u got a $100
