Soulpsychodelicide-a play? Does anyone else remember an MTV news report from summer of 1986
that stated that prince and the revolution were working on a broadway-style play to be called "Soulpsychodelicide"? i can vividly remember this because back in 1986 i had never heard anything with that title(until 1989 when i got the track on a cassette). this was right after the premiere for under the cherry moon. | |

all i remember was an MTV news report around the time of "parade" that said prince had four movies in the pipeline - one of em was going to be a bio pic about charlie parker, and one was going to be set in japan. who knows what kind of cracked-out source they got this stuff from, anyway. prince probably faxed it to them one day when he was bored.  | |

Wasn't it a biopic of Robert Johnson not Charlie Parker?  I seem to remember that he bought the rights to do that? Maybe not.... if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron
