I have two supposed interview CDs that are of him saying nothing special. I have the supposedly unauthorized documentary on VHS that has nothing but interviews from other people about him that said nothing new. I'm not too big on collections so that's pretty much it.

I paid 20 quid for that 10,000 magazine that they sold in the NPG shops.

What was the point?

And believe me funkaholic: had you paid 40 euros for that record in the first place, like the rest of us, you would have bloody hell been forced to like that goddamn record.

lol You might be right about that Nova, but at that time I was not too interested in Prince no more. I was deep into the whole house/ drum and bass/ breakbeat thing around that time and that music was just so much more new and exciting to me than the slick, plastic sounding music on Emancipation.

I have bought every Prince album without listening on the day of release since 1984, but after not liking most of the albums from Batman on, I decided to listen to Emancipation first. That was one of the brightest moments in my life, because I was shocked when I listened to the album. What had happened to that once avant garde, daring musician??? Only the on the third disc I heard some interesting stuff but that just wasn't enough to justify 40 euro...

You don't have no use for the B-sides???

not when you begin to get hold of the b-sides plus more, in the form of bootleggage. i had a use for the box set when i first started gettin into prince but as time went on and i started gettin hooked up with stuff, it became obsolete.

Thanks for clearing that up! For a moment I started worrying about Prince.org having a Sr. Moderator that hasn't got no use for the B-sides... razz

The Graffiti Bridge DVD. I only watched it once, and now it is/has been shelved away ever since.

I remember walking through Best Buy, Purple Rain and UTCM in my arms, searching desperately for the Graffiti Bridge DVD; I wouldn't leave until I had it. Now I have it, and unfortunately, not even the Thieves video can make me take it out again...

The consensus wasn't like that some years ago. It's the new brethren of .orgers that generally dislike it, most old-timers call it the best of the 90s anyway. And believe me funkaholic: had you paid 40 euros for that record in the first place, like the rest of us, you would have bloody hell been forced to like that goddamn record.

I might be relatively new to the org but I have been a Prince fan since back in the day, and I still don't like it that much. One good CD could be made from the 3.

There is nothing involving Prince that I have no use for. I don't care if it is one of the worst things ever created, it is awesome anyway, if in some way, shape, or form in involves P

Yeah, that is actually happening to me right now, so I can definitely relate. I downloaded the album immediately when it "leaked" before release and I still haven't got an official copy of "Musicology", because there is so much more interesting underground stuff going on that I am spending all my money on anyway. It's a good record - and I am definitely going to get it one day - but hell there is a new Winterkälte / Control / Needle Sharing / etc. record out each week, and franky speaking I'd rather give my money to them at the moment than to some millionaire.

Doesn't it just suck!! I bought it for $10 in Canberra thinking I had dug up some bootleg gem of unreleased early tracks, and I'm listening to this generic disco thinking "When's he gonna sing?" confused
