Hey there fellow orgers.

I am starting up a monthly at a sushi bar where I get to do a 5 hr Prince set (it will be promoted as a prince night). However, I am failing to come up with a name for the night...I am drawing a blank...zip...zero...zulch. I need HELP! I know there are a few creative minds on here who just happen to like Prince,

anyone got any ideas?

How about 'Prince Raw' or 'Raw Prince' ?

hmmm if I can think of a V-6 or A-6 Roll...or A Morris roll

And what I am really torn about is to have it on a Saturday or a Sunday. Sats a good crowd, but I will always have to work around it for anything I want to do...as well as if there is a P-Night I want to do or be at (they are normally on Saturdays).

Or Sunday...I don't have to work around it really (except for those dang Desperate Housewives). And Prince is like Church to me. And I'd be up late once a month on a Sunday night. However, if folks want to come out to it...will they come out on a Sunday night?

It's also not a dance place...but a bar/resturant...so I'll have to see how it goes I guess. I am also a bit miffed as to the reason I got to do the Prince night...I lost my other night, which was a weekly, due to the lack of respect they had for the music my crew and I were spinning...I mean if downtempo aint the right music to listen to while eating sushi and doing oxygen, I'm not sure what is. I am still bitter about it.

So why do it at all, right? It really came about as when I would close, the last hour was normally dead...I knew the managers loved P, so I played him for the last hour of my Ambient/downtempo nights (talk about a shock from that to P). It kept it lively as they were cleaning up. It got to be where I'd bring in the laptop and play P videos while I'd spin. And eventually I was asked to do a P night...I never said yes or no. But here I am without any nights, and I like playing him out, so I went for it.



OK so I am a Prince-a-holic and P-Geek. I need my fix. There, I said it. But now I am torn and between...you could say between a rock and a funky place.

I like DanceMusicSushiRomance! But I also like Rock hard in a Sushi Place. Jeez, I'm not helping am I???
