Computer Blue: Lib's Latest Super-Deluxe Extended Hallway Yada Yada

So it occurs to me that this version of Computer Blue is the fiercest shit that was ever put to tape, and it BOGGLES MY MIND that it remains unreleased and only heard by certain retarded hardcores. Hehe.

Lib's done a damn good job on this one, I should say...I got this from somewhere several months ago and sort of burned it onto a disc and never really ended up listening to it. WOWZA. Me likey.

Father, father! The sun is gone!
Father....father, father, where is the Dawn?

Na-na-na-naaah-naah!! (Everybody work out!!)

Should I go to church on Sunday?
Should I stay at home instead?

Makes me wanna cry in joy.

Just sayin'.

Carry on. (and hi to everyone who hasn't heard from me in a while, i still love and think about you even if i don't jump on here all the time right now, alas)

Poor, poor computer. Poor lonely computer. Do you really know what love is?
No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Sex is not love. Love is not sex. Putting words in other people's mouths will only get you elected.

Dude, I love this song. I don't know why but when I first heard the part about the sun being gone I freaked out. It was so honest. It made me look out my window. LOL. But really it was a creepy line. Too bad my copy is kind of bad. It's on my Jewel Box II.

This song made me realize that this is the song that the Revolution is practicing in one of the scenes from Purple Rain. Duh!!!! The part where Lisa says "But I'm here to tell ya....." etc.

Another retarded hardcore fan,
Miguel

They both have 4 letters,

But there entirely different words.

Poor Lonely computer...

Hmmm, you're probably right IstenSzek. And then it's "Should I try to make her happy? Should I try to make her sad?", right?

I'm pretty sure this was before Prince's dinosaur period though. Sorry GlamSlamKid smile

And Moonwalk, I think you just pointed out the MOSTEST part of the song:

I'm on the verge of a breakdown.....what is life without love? (It's hell!! Computer blue!!!)
No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Thanks, NouveauDance!!!

Heh, that's all right GlamSlamKid, I bet your booty's gay too....and isn't that really all that matters? smile

That's such a fantastic part though, when he screams, "It's hell! Computer Blue!"

Of course as you can see in this thread my hearing is quite subjective as well. I want him to stay at home on Sunday and screw the praying, apparently! wink

I bow to the glory that is Computer Blue. You can just see the Revolution sweating it out for 12 glorious minutes. "Now put on the dirty switch". Nanananana. Fantastic. Best piece of Funk Rock EVER (together with Let's Go Crazy that is...)

Okay, my new favorite part of the song: The feeling is mutual!!!

eek

Color me shivering.

Who is that screaming "It's hell!" anyway? Sounds like Brown Mark to me. Brown Marc or Brown Mark, which is it? I'm getting old...

what are those fembots saying at the end? all i can make out is:

something something, bleed to fast, love too soon something something..
then Prince says "YODELAHEHEEEE" or some shit...and they the fembots say something something women aren't butterflies, they're computers too, just like you, computer blue...
why is Prince so damn inarticulate sometimes?
