But I dont see how he can implement my name into a song. But just because I cant figure out how he can do it doesnt mean it cant happen! It is true I have heard that name a lot as a punch line... but it is a very pretty name (I especially like the spelling), and actually becoming more common because of it's popularity. Thanks I think its pretty too, but I'm biased! Anyway its so funny because of the way that comedians use people attach stereotypes to it so most people dont believe me when I tell them my name. They totally expect to see a different type of person. What is even more funny is because my husband so reserved and laid back no one believes thats his wifes name. ?Cause me and u could have been a work of art

Yup, got a whole song named after me. Very silly lyrics. He keeps saying he wants to go to the movies with me. I suppose as long as it was a *good* movie. [Edited 12/1/04 15:36pm]

Yes, Prince said my name, Shelly at the end of the song "style" from Emancipation. I thought it was pretty funny when I heard it the first time years ago. Prince says, "Shelly, Shelly, Shake yo ass, Shelly.I love ya, Shelly."I always wondered who Shelly was to him. I put that little part on tape to make my friends and family laugh, they know how big a fan I am. Not only did he say my name in the Ballad of Dorothy Parker, but it's on the back cover of the Controversy album: Joni. =) The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
