He needs to work on releasing the old shit stashed away in the Vault. He can release new stuff all he wants, but he needs to remember that unless he comes up with another mind blowing album, the majority of his fans will like his 80's work more, and will continue to hope to God he loosens up a bit again.

I'm not saying that you don't have he right to objectively critique the music. But, I'm so sick and tired of this fake ass support for Prince and then, turn around and crap all over albums that have some really great music on them. These albums might not be certified classics but they are still part of his ongoing evolution. Please let the man evolve. At the end of the day, no matter what he releases you'll still be trying to get your hands on it. Don't front.

The eighties was an INCREDIBLE time for music. Everything sounded different. Prince didn't sound like Michael J. didn't sound like Adam Ant didn't sound like Duran Duran didn't sound like Def Leppard. Different types of music were played together a lot. I wish it was still like that. I'm sorry to hear about people that were too young to experience the 80's but then again there are people that feel sorry for me because I wasn't around in the 50's or 60's.
