Happy 10th (official) birthday, The Black Album

Finally released November 22nd, 1994. The Black Album has been officially released for 10 years, much longer than the time it went unreleased (if that makes sense).

Break out the Black and party. Meet some friends of mine. No, no, you'll like 'em. They're musicians...

Anxiety

i remember completely losing my shit the first time i heard bob george. i had no idea prince was capable of being such a freak - and at the time, i thought he was plenty freaky. it may not be the best prince album ever, but conceptually and musically, as a whole package there was nothing out there like it, that's for damn sure.

I only got the bootleg in 1992, so I was kinda disappointed (but glad!) when the official release came about in 1994, it was no longer that little secret that only the fans had, it was now in the stores.

Although, now it's just as hard to find apparently eek lol

MIGUELGOMEZ

It's funny that in the movie Pretty Woman Julia Roberts asks Richard Gere's character, "Don't you just love Prince?" This is during the time that Prince had written a song about his love interest at the time Cindy Crawford. Supposedly Richard Gere was not too happy about CINDY C.

Oh how I loved The Black Album back in the Summer of '88, wickedly funky, deliciously evil.

It sadly lost all of it's impact in 1994, just didn't make any sense.

This is sad. This album and Camille are Prince's funkiest albums,in my opinion. You need to rectify your situation.
