Prince and the Da Vinci Code

I have recently read the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown and must say I was impressed. It puts forth several interesting issues about the church and the Bible... I wonder if Prince has read the book and if it may have influenced his thinking or if it has shaken his beliefs a bit?
It certainly made me search the internet for explanations and more info about the presented facts.

What do you think??

The book 'Angels And Demons' which was written before 'The Da Vinci Code' actually has a reference to prince in the book. I haven't read it yet so I can't tell you what the reference is. My girlfriend read the book and pointed out the symbol in the book. Anyone here that read the book and can shed some more light on it?

Well we can't be sure if Prince read it or not, but personally I thought
this book was a bit of a populist crap re-telling of the "real" books on
this subject matter ("The Bloodline of the holy Grail" a.o.).

It's Nicci French does mystical re-interpretation of historical enigma.

That's probably the only episode I can remember of the whole series... Loved that episode...

What I do know is that he read the "conversation with God" books from D. Walsch. Especially the time is a trick part which he mentions at concerts, f.e. "we could be in the 3rd millenium perhaps, if could be 1492 who knows" is almost literally a quote from that book.

Opus Dei is a fact
So is:
* corporal mortification
* catholic church being frauds
* Priory of Sion
* Da Vinci being part of the Priory
* the controversy around Da Vinci's 'Last Supper'
* the hand & the knife
* Mary Magdalene appearance on the Last Supper painting

many more things.....
Sure, Dan Brown made a good fiction novel out of it, but you can not deny that there are facts to be learned from the story.....just do some research, you won't be bored!

FACT

Priory of Sion was a hoax.

So therefor Da Vinci was never part of it let alone grand master

There is NO controversy about the last supper

Mary Magdelene does NOT appear in the last supper

I read the book. I was amazed at what was being said, so i did some research

I remember that when I read this book I thought about what kind of interesting things Prince would have to say about it's content.

Why was I thinking about Prince while reading the Davinci Code you ask? Probably because I was reading the book and listening to The Rainbow Children at the same time since I only recently found it at my local record store (great CD, by the way!) and it made me more aware of Prince's obvious views of religion.

Since I don't share Prince's views on religion, or anyone else's for that matter, I always am interested in hearing other people's views on the subject.

Oh, and in the book Angels & Demons the reference to Prince's symbol name was as follows: "...being known solely by one's first name was a level of fame achieved only by an elite few...people like Napolean, Galileo, and Jesus...and, of course, the demigods that Langdon now heard blaring from the Harvard dormitories-- Sting, Madonna, Jewel, and the Artist Formerly Known as Prince, who had changed his name to the symbol, prince, causing Langdon to dub him, 'the Tau Cross With Intersecting Hermaphroditic Ankah.'"

Well, there's my two cents, and a little bit of trivia. Enjoy!
Strange, but I'm more comfortable around you naked.
